Help centre & FAQs

Everything about building, running and measuring an adaptive Thinking Ad. This suite grows as the platform does.

Getting started

The shortest path from a blank studio to a live adaptive ad.

What is Thinking Ad in one sentence?

One creative object that takes any shape, writes itself with AI, unfolds into a pop-up mini website, answers questions, sells, and knows when to disappear.

How do I build my first ad?

Open Studio, describe the ad in plain text or by voice, then press Roll creative. The brief produces a headline, body, CTA, copy variants, mini-site panels and a hero image prompt. Refine the shape and renditions, then open Live demo to see it in a page.

What is the difference between Roll creative and New product?

Roll creative keeps your brand, product and brief and only changes the creative angle — ideal for testing variants. New product generates a completely different fictional advertiser, product, pricing and options.

Where does my work get saved?

This is a concept demonstration: campaign state, analytics and conversations live in your browser session and are discarded when the tab closes. Persistent per-advertiser storage is on the platform roadmap.

Shapes & renditions

Text, static, real-world, animated and video — and how the ad re-composes.

What are the five renditions?

Text (copy-led), Static (product stills and colourways), Real-world (the product in use), Animated (code-driven motion plus GIF/APNG/Lottie assets) and Video. They are distinct formats, not quality tiers.

Can I enable more than one rendition?

Yes. Enable any mix and mark one as the default. Viewers can remix between the enabled views, which is where a lot of the engagement signal comes from.

How does the ad fit different placements?

It re-composes rather than scales. The same creative object becomes a strip, tower, card or badge, keeping type sizes and hit targets legible at every dimension.

What happens with reduced motion?

Animated renditions stop entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion, and a still frame is shown instead.

The pop-up mini-site

The magical expansion: draggable, resizable, multi-panel.

How is the mini-site different from a modal?

It morphs out of the ad's exact position as a continuous object. It can be dragged, resized and maximised, so the viewer keeps control of how much of the page it occupies.

What panels can it contain?

Overview, details, offer, an assistant tab and buy, all edited on the Product page. Panel copy is generated with the creative and can be rewritten by hand.

Can the viewer make the ad go away?

Yes — dismiss it to a small pill, snooze it for the session, or let it render as contextual editorial content clearly marked sponsored.

Assistant, awareness & offers

What the in-ad AI knows, and the limits on what it may give away.

Where does the assistant get its answers?

From the product knowledge you enter on the Knowledge page, facts distilled from a public source URL you supply, plus page, locale, timezone, device and session context.

What is a knowledge gap?

A question the assistant could not answer from its knowledge. Gaps are logged and listed in Insights so you can close them by adding the missing fact.

Can the assistant give discounts?

It can grant a code mid-conversation, but never beyond the ceiling you set. In a production system that ceiling and the code issuance are enforced server-side, never by the model.

Is the checkout real?

No. Colour, size and quantity selection, totals and discounts are fully simulated. No payment is taken and nothing ships.

Reach & targeting

Geo, demographics, devices and interests — and the estimate behind them.

What can I target on?

Geo markets and exclusions, age bands, gender, languages, devices and interests. The studio shows an estimated reach as you narrow.

Is the reach number real?

It is a simulated estimate for the demonstration. A production platform would model it from live supply data.

Do you use third-party cookies?

No. Third-party identifiers are gone in practice, so contextual targeting from page content is the workable path — and it suits this format particularly well.

Insights & measurement

What is reported today and what is still on the roadmap.

Which metrics are reported today?

Impressions, expands, chat turns, discounts, conversions, dismissals, ratings, option choices, and breakdowns by market, age, device, gender and language.

Why are some segment cells blank?

Segments with fewer than three interactions are suppressed to avoid drawing conclusions — or identifying anyone — from a handful of events.

Where are CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA and ROAS?

They need cost inputs, which the demo does not carry yet. Budget and spend entry, then the full cost and return set, are itemised on the Features & roadmap page.

Flight, seasons & alerts

Run periods, seasonal remixes and how notices reach you.

What does the flight period control?

Start and end dates set the campaign's context. The calendar reads them against seasons and special days, so the ad knows whether it is running, ending soon or already ended.

What happens when the ad runs into a new season?

An alert is raised suggesting a remix, and the seasonal resolution can re-skin palette, tag and decoration for Christmas, Valentine's, Black Friday, Halloween or New Year.

How are alerts delivered and stored?

They appear in the header alert centre, inline in the studio panel and as banners on the demo. They are session-only for now; persistent history with email and push delivery is on the roadmap.

Accessibility & data

Our WCAG target and how data is handled in the demo.

What accessibility standard do you target?

WCAG 2.2 level AA across the studio and the ad unit. Semantic structure, contrast-checked light and dark tokens, visible focus and reduced-motion support are in place; a complete keyboard path for the draggable mini-site is a known gap.

What data does the demo process?

Text you type is sent to an AI provider to generate a response and is not used to profile you. Approximate context such as language, timezone and device type is read from the browser to demonstrate contextual targeting.

How do I delete my data?

Close or reload the tab. Nothing persists after the session ends, so clearing the page satisfies a deletion request immediately.

Troubleshooting

Common snags and what usually fixes them.

The creative did not generate.

Generation depends on an AI response. Try Roll creative again; if the brief is very short, add a sentence of product detail so the model has something to work with.

The hero image did not change on a roll.

Image regeneration is opt-in. Enable 'Refresh the hero image on every roll' in the studio image controls.

The ad looks cramped in a placement.

Pick a shape preset closer to the target dimensions rather than forcing width and height by hand — presets adjust radius and layout together.

Something is missing from this page.

This suite is added to continuously. If a topic is not covered yet, it is most likely described in more detail on the Features & roadmap page.

Still stuck?

The in-ad assistant on the live demo answers product questions directly, and unanswered questions are logged as knowledge gaps in Insights so this suite can keep growing.
